Gum Lift in Downey
Gum lift for receding gums
Hello I’m Dr John McAllister I have been a dentist for a little over over 25 years. I have been doing periodontal regeneration, and I teach periodontal regeneration to dentists and periodontists from all over the world they come to learn how to regenerate due to gum disease. Now we are taking it to the next level. We are taking it for (periodontal surgery) patients who need gum grafting and they have had recetion they have had the gum recede on there teeth we are now going to be able to regenerate bring the tissue back up. There are allot of benefits to the patient in the sense that they could be healthier, but also it looks better and it gives a foundation and it brings everything back up to it’s original state and that is really what we are trying to do. So we are taking, we are able to take back time after somebody has lost the tissues and being able to regenerate it (gum tissue). It is a wonderful procedure it has been documented in the Periodontal literature. Many dentists and periodontists are doing it (chao pinhole gum surgery). It is an honor to be able to provide that service to my patients. to be able to help them really keep their teeth for a life time. Avoiding loosing teeth avoiding extractions avoiding implants avoiding all that keeping their own teeth that is what I’m about. That is our job to help my patients to help them keep their teeth doing a minimally invasive procedure that is the beauty of it. To be able to something that doesn’t hurt very much patients are telling us they have minimal discomfort patients aren’t taking anything more than just a few Motrin. That is compared to traditional procedures where you are using scalpels you are cutting tissue from the palate and your putting back into other areas. Where here (lunch time gum lift) we are not doing that, we are not using scalpels we are not taking tissue from other areas and putting it back into the gums all we are doing is just lifting the tissues back to where they used to be putting a little collagen to bump it up and then getting that regeneration lift. Not only are we not using scalpels we are not using sutures. So you don’t go home with a bunch of sutures in your mouth. That means you do not have to come back and have them taken out. Minimal discomfort and great regenerative technology. I am proud to be able to help my patients keep their teeth.

Pinhole Surgical Technique™ in Downey
A breakthrough treatment for gum recession.
What is gum recession?
Gum recession refers to the loss of gum tissue along the gumline. This can occur as a result of

abrasive habits when it comes to brushing the teeth.
Why should gum recession be taken seriously?
When gum recession occurs, the root structure of the tooth becomes exposed. This means that tooth
decay and other problems can affect the teeth along the gumline and beneath it. Since healthy gums are
essential for a healthy mouth, getting gum recession treated is important for lasting dental wellness.
What is the Pinhole Surgical Technique™ (PST™)?

rebuild the gumline. This soft tissue would be sutured in place and would join with existing gum tissue as
While this traditional grafting treatment is effective, comparable results with better patient experience
can be achieved through the Pinhole Surgical Technique™.
